I miss my school van!

“सौ जिगर के टुकड़े,

भर के ठसा-ठस माँ बाप के नन्हे सपने, 

ले जाती हे स्कूल बस…..”

I miss my school van so much. It’s been 2 years almost now since I went to school sitting in it. I miss waiting for the school van to come outside my house every morning. I used to talk with my friends while waiting. I feel those days were the best days of my life!

One month ago, I went to my native place to meet my grandparents. There I got a chance to sit in a school van which is used for regular commuting by villagers. It was the same as my school van, the only difference was that it didn’t have “SCHOOL VAN” written on it. I became kind of emotional…..! I did not want to come out of it.

Sitting in the school van made me think that school life is the best time for every child. We make new friends, learn things, also get scolded sometimes  [But that’s ok ] Losing touch with my school friends, the lunchtime laughter and play, is the greatest tragedy of time. I miss the old days.

I pray the Pandemic ends soon, and we all would be able to go to our school again in our school van.
