A Real MAN
A Real MAN
He’s a real man
He doesn’t need to hide.
He’s masculine enough
To lift the weight of her bad days
And unafraid of his feminine side.
He has his favourite pyajamas,
He likes chick flicks
He cries.
He’s flawed
And he knows it.
If he lies, he admits it.
If he’s into her,
He doesn’t linger.
He’s not a singer,
But he’ll serenade her all night.
All good men
Hide in plane sight.
And the world has scared her so,
She always looks for a fight.
If he’s the real deal,
I’ll tell you this.
He’ll love,
And he’ll feel.
He’ll be imperfect
But solid.
Not all men have to try so hard
And not all women have to look
For reasons to hurt.
Her fears are only a mirror to her insecurities
If only she knew.
Real men aren’t really rare
And they certainly aren’t few.
Yes he’s fresh and new
Like a spring he comes into her life
But he’s here
Come summer, and snow
If anything he wants the same things as her
She maybe a challenge,
But
He’s not gonna go.
And even though
He’s not always wrapped in chivalry
From head to toe
It’s not hard to recognise ,
He’s a real man.
In flesh and blood,
He’s all action
But he has a big heart.
He’s been real,
And honest
And all that since the start.
