Goodbye ‘Blue Bird’ : Twitter has officially changed its logo to ‘X’
As I opened my Twitter account today, saw the new logo X visible on the site. Twitter has removed the iconic bird logo and adopted ‘X’ as its official logo. This move comes after Elon Musk announced the change over the weekend.
The Interim X logo goes live later today.

But Elon Musk might not stop at just replacing the logo. Musk said the company will eventually “bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.”
I knew it was coming, this was expected when Elon Musk’s company took over Twitter, like all company acquisitions which are mostly done to acquire the technology and the customer base, and then slowly the brand is put to rest, and a new Brand is installed.
But it’s not only the logo, or the name even the whole platform is going to be revamped with many features being added to it.
The company’s CEO Linda Yaccarino has tweeted,
X is the future state of unlimited interactivity – cenetred in audio, video, messaging, and payments/banking – creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities. Powered by AI, X will connect us all in ways we’re just beginning to imagine.

Twitter didn’t have its iconic bird logo during the initial years of its existence. In 2010, the company officially adopted the emblematic logo called “Larry the bird” — it is named after the legendary Boston Celtics basketball player Larry Bird.
But the Blue Bird became the symbol of free expression, yes infested by many trollers too. The Blue Bird was cute, and it will take time for Twitter Users to get used to the new logo, the new way of life on the platform, the Elon Musk Way; but we will surely miss the Blue Bird.
What do you think about the change?
